Wendy W. Lee
Wendy W. Lee, M.D., Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology & Dermatology, specializes in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery with a special interest in aesthetic medicine. Dr. Lee earned her M.D. from Tulane University, B.A. from UC Santa Barbara and M.S. from Georgetown University. She completed her residency and internship at Tulane University, and a fellowship in oculoplastic surgery at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
Dr. Lee practices both functional and aesthetic oculoplastic surgery. She teaches and organizes multispecialty trainings in both.
Dr. Lee conducts research and lectures around the world on various oculoplastic disorders and rejuvenation of the periocular area.
Daniel Ezra
Daniel Ezra is an award-winning Oculoplastic Surgeon based in London, graduating from Cambridge and London Universities with degrees in Medicine and the History and Philosophy of Science. Daniel is widely known for his work and research in functional and aesthetic eyelid surgery.
He runs a busy private clinic on the world-renowned Harley Street, which has a strong international referral base, and is also a Consultant at Moorfields Eye Hospital. He specialises in all in all aspects of aesthetic oculoplastics, particularly blepharoplasty, revision blepharoplasty, and periocular filler treatments. Daniel lectures internationally on aesthetic and functional eyelid surgery and has held a number of national and international appointments including Head of Oculoplastic Surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital.
Sean Paul
Dr. Paul is a board certified surgeon of the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO), and a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). Dr Paul specializes in eyelid and facial plastic (cosmetic and reconstructive) surgery. He uses a blended approach of non-surgical treatments and surgery, including minimal incision techniques, to provide the best patient care. Dr. Paul completed his ASOPRS fellowship at the prestigious Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and pursued further elective training in cosmetic surgery of the eyelids and face. Dr. Paul has authored numerous scientific articles and been invited to speak at many national and international meetings. He feels privileged to return to Australia to share ideas with colleagues. Charles Boyd
Harvard trained and board certified by the elite American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, a diplomate of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Boyd is also board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.
Dr. Boyd has experience as a full-time faculty member at the University of Michigan for over 14 years, serving as assistant professor in the Department of Dermatology and Otolaryngology. Dr. Boyd served as the associate chief of staff at the University of Michigan Health System. Dr. Boyd specializes in all aspects of surgical and nonsurgical facial rejuvenation including facelifts, brow and eye lifts, rhinoplasty (nose surgery) and neck lifts. Andrew Harrison
Dr. Harrison graduated summa cum laude from University of Missouri Medical School. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota. He went on to complete fellowships in neuro-ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota and oculoplastic surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University. Dr. Harrison is a tenured Professor of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology at the University of Minnesota where he also serves as the Vice Chair for Surgical Services and Director of Oculoplastic Surgery. He has published over 100 scientific papers and book chapters. He has consistently received the Best Doctors in America Award and been selected as one of America’s Top Ophthalmologists since 2005.
Robert Schwarcz
Dr. Robert Schwarcz is an Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon who is an Associate Clinical Professor at Mount Sinai Hospital and in private practice in NYC. After earning his medical degree in Washington DC he completed his Ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate in NY, after which he completed a two year fellowship in Oculofacial Plastic Surgery at UCLA Medical Center. This was then followed by an additional two year fellowship training in Beverly Hills, CA in Facial Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Schwarcz has over 40 published peer reviewed medical journal articles and textbook chapters in his field of plastic surgery and continues to be invited to lecture internationally. He lives in NY with his wife Monica who is a practicing Endocrinologist and two children.
ALAN LESSNER
Dr. Lessner has practiced ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery for over 25 years in Gainesville, Florida. He graduated at the top of his class from Albany Medical College and was selected for Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society. He then trained in ophthalmology at the University of Florida and subsequently completed prestigious fellowships in Oculofacial Plastic Surgery at UCLA, in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills California, and Orbital Surgery at The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. After completing his fellowships, he returned to Gainesville, Florida and became director of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Florida.
Presently, his private practice concentrates on cosmetic eyelid, eyebrow, and facial plastic surgery. Dr. Lessner also performs procedures such as Botox®, facial fillers, chemical peels, and laser resurfacing. He has been invited to speak nationally and internationally about his surgical techniques. He is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Femida Kherani
Dr. Femida Kherani is Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of British Columbia and the University of Calgary. Dr. Kherani completed her medical school and Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Alberta. She completed a two year ASOPRS Fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Kherani enjoys teaching medical students, residents and fellows. She serves on the education committee for ASOPRS as an Oral Examiner. Dr. Kherani serves on the ASOPRS International Committee. She has participated in volunteer surgical eye expeditions to India, Mexico, Pakistan and the Dominican Republic.
Dr. Kherani is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is a Fellow of the American Society of Oculofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). She serves as the Canadian Commissioner for the International Joint Commission on Allied Health Personal of Ophthalmology (IJCAHPO) and is the Liaison Member for the Canadian Ophthalmology Society. Dr. Kherani is on the Editorial Board for OSN and the American Academy of Ophthalmology Eyenet Publications. Dr. Kherani received the Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology in 2016. She loves her work and is committed to providing the best care for her patients.
Julian D Perry
Dr. Julian D. Perry received his medical training at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons (McGraw Hill Book Prize winner for best grades in his class). He performed his ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital (Shipman Award for best resident research paper). He received training in oculofacial plastic surgery at the Jules Stein Eye Institute (best fellow research paper). He received an additional fellowship in Neuro-ophthalmology at Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins University.
He has published over 180 peer-reviewed papers, three-dozen book chapters and two textbooks. He serves as an Executive Editor of the American Journal of Ophthalmology and as Associate Editor of Ophthalmic Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery.
He has served on the Board of Directors of ASOPRS as Program Chairman and as Secretary of Meetings, and currently serves on the presidential track as Vice President. He has served the AAO as Subspecialty Day Chairman, Oculoplastics Editor of the ONE Network, Chair of the Annual Program Oculoplastics Subcommittee, and on the Basic Science Review Course Committee. He also sits on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Ophthalmic Devices Panel.
His awards include the ASOPRS Marvin Quickert Thesis Award, the ASOPRS Lester Jones Surgical Anatomy Award, and the AAO Senior Achievement Award. He has received the Cole Eye Institute Resident Teaching Award three times and a Cleveland Clinic Innovator Award two times. He holds two U.S. and International patents.
He directs an ASOPRS Fellowship and precepts Cleveland Clinic ophthalmology, plastic surgery, and dermatology residents, as well as Summa Health System plastic surgery residents.
Vikram Durairaj
Dr. Durairaj completed his Internship at Georgetown University and his Residency at the University of Colorado. He completed his American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. He currently serves as Managing Partner of TOC Eye and Face and is Professor of Ophthalmology at the Dell Medical School - University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Durairaj is the Director of the ASOPRS Fellowship and Preceptor of the AACS Facial Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship at TOC Eye and Face. Dr. Durairaj has given over 400 invited national and international lectures and courses, published over 200 peer-reviewed manuscripts, chapters, and abstracts, and presented his research at national and international meetings. He has served as editor and reviewer for 18 scholarly publications.
Paul Phelps
Paul Phelps, MD, FACS is Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Director of Oculofacial Plastic and Orbital Surgery at Cook County Health, and Founder and CEO of Chicago Oculofacial Plastic Surgery. He specializes in laser-assisted eyelid and facial cosmetic surgery, periorbital rejuvenation, and innovative techniques in oculofacial plastic surgery. Dr. Phelps completed an Ophthalmic Pathology fellowship at UW–Madison and an ASOPRS oculoplastic fellowship in Albany, New York. He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and serves as lead editor for the EyeWiki Oculoplastics section.
Cathy Hwang
Dr. Catherine Hwang, MD, is an Orbital and Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon at the Cole Eye Institute at Cleveland Clinic. She completed her medical degree and ophthalmology residency at the University of Pennsylvania, followed by her ASOPRS fellowship training at the UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute. She is a Heed Ophthalmic Foundation Fellow and has additional fellowship training in facial plastic surgery.
Dr. Hwang previously served on the faculty at UCLA, was Director of Oculoplastic Surgery at the Greater Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and maintained a private practice in Beverly Hills before joining Cleveland Clinic in 2016. She has authored more than 90 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and lectures nationally and internationally on eyelid surgery, botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, and the management of filler complications. Her research focuses on functional and aesthetic disorders of the eyelids and orbit. She is an active member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) and the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), and a former elected City Council member in Pepper Pike, Ohio.
