MICHAEL Groth

Dr. Michael Groth is a renowned expert in aesthetic eyelid surgery and has practiced in Beverly Hills for 25 years. He completed his residency and fellowship at UCLA’s prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute. He trained under renowned surgeon Dr. Henry I Baylis. As an Associate Clinical Professor at UCLA, Dr. Groth teaches regularly and has lectured extensively. He has authored many articles and book chapters on Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery. Dr Groth has performed thousands of aesthetic eyelid and eyebrow procedures. His work has been featured on ABC News, Fox News, The Lifetime Channel, Doctor 90210, The Swan, Dr. Phil, The Doctors, W Magazine, LA Magazine and LA Confidential Magazine.

Wong Chin Ho

Dr Wong Chin Ho is a Plastic Surgeon, in private practice, in Singapore. He completed his advance training in Plastic Surgery in 2008. Dr. Wong completed multiple fellowships including a one-year fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery in 2007, under Professor Fu-Chan Wei at the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan. He then went on to do an Advanced Facial Aesthetics fellowship under his mentor, Dr. Bryan Mendelson in Melbourne, Australia. In 2010, he became the first recipient of the International Fellowship Award, a scholarship awarded by the American Society for Aesthetic Surgery (ASAPS) for the most promising international plastic surgeon.

Dr. Wong has published over 90 peer-reviewed scientific articles in prestigious journals including the Plastic Reconstructive Surgery, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Lancet (resulting in 7307 citations, H index 36). He has won numerous international awards for his research work including the journal Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery’s coveted Best International Paper in 2018 and Best Video Paper in 2021. He also contributed to several key reference textbooks in plastic surgery. His current research interests include facial anatomy, anatomical changes of the ageing, aesthetic surgery of the Asian face and Asian rhinoplasty. Dr. Wong has special interests in facelift, eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty and aesthetic breast surgery. He is a founding faculty member of the prestigious Melbourne Facial Anatomy Course (MAFAC) https://mafac.com.au and continue to be actively involved with this meeting.

Kami Parsa

Dr. Kami Parsa is an Oculoplastic & Reconstructive Surgeon who specializes exclusively in reconstructive, revisional and cosmetic surgery of the eyes and surrounding tissue. His expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery has made him the choice for patients who have had previous plastic surgery and now need revisional surgery around the eyes. Doctor Parsa is a native of California. He attended UCLA where he majored in Aeronautical sciences and Biology. He then completed a two-year sub-specialty fellowship in Oculoplastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Miami’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, ranked by U.S. News and World Report as the number one program in the country.

Dr. Parsa is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and fellowship trained by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons. He is a Clinical Professor at USC’s Department of Ophthalmology and USC’s Department of Plastic Surgery. For the past decade, he has been involved in many clinical and basic science research projects. Dr. Parsa has also published numerous articles and has been an invited lecturer both nationally and internationally. His current research focus is the use of minimally invasive modalities for periocular rejuvenation.

In addition to maintaining a busy surgical practice and teaching at USC, Dr. Parsa is involved in several humanitarian organizations. He is one of the founders of Surgical Friends Foundation, a non-profit organization committed to delivering reconstructive surgery to patients who do not have access to quality medical care. Through this organization Dr. Parsa has traveled to many different countries performing life changing surgeries to those in need. In his spare time, he enjoys globetrotting, hiking and spending quality time with his family.

Catherine Hwang

Dr. Catherine Hwang is an Orbital & Oculofacial plastic surgeon at the Cole Eye Institute at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

Dr. Hwang completed her training at the University of Pennsylvania as well as the University of California, Los Angeles. She practiced in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills and was an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA from 201-2016. She is an active member of the American Society of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American Academy of Ophthalomology, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. Hwang has travelled nationally and internationally lecturing on botulinum toxin, fillers, filler complications and eyelid surgery. She is also an active researcher investigating functional and cosmetic eyelid and orbital disorders.

Audrey Looi

Dr Audrey Looi trained in Oculoplastics at the Singapore National Eye Centre from 2001 to 2002. At the University of British Columbia, she completed her fellowships in Oculoplastic, Orbital and Ocular Pathology under the supervision of Prof Peter Dolman, Prof Jack Rootman and Prof Valerie White respectively, returning to Singapore in 2004 with a Best Fellow research prize. She was appointed Head of the Oculoplastic Service at the Singapore National Eye Centre in 2007 and served in the position till 2016. She accepted the position of Adjunct Associate Professor at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School in 2012. She also served as Clinical Director of the General Eye Clinic at the Singapore National Eye Centre till 2019. Dr A Looi is currently the Medical Director of Ava Eye Clinic.

Dr Looi serves the Royal College of Ophthalmology (Edinburgh) as an examiner and also participates in Ophthalmology MMed and Exit examinations conducted at the National University of Singapore. Dr Looi was elected Treasurer of the Asia-Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from 2006 to 2010 and Vice-President of the society from 2012-2014. She served as Editor of the society’s newsletter, iPlastic from 2013 to 2018 and was re-elected First Vice-President of the society in December 2018. She is the First Vice-President of the Singapore Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr Looi is a founding Board Director of iC2 PrepHouse, a charity set up in Singapore in 2011 to provide programmes that enable greater independence of children with low vision as well as their continued education in mainstream schools.

Ahmed Ben Said

Dr Ahmed Ben said is the chief of orbital and ophthalmic plastic surgery at the Clinique ophtalmologique de Tunis. He acquired his ophthalmology training at Tunis El Manar University in 2001, followed by a fellowship at the university of Paris from 2001 to 2005 (Bichat-Claude Bernard, Saint joseph Hospital, Fondation Ophtalmologique A de Rothschild): Cornea and inflammatory diseases of the eye; Oculoplastic and orbital surgery.

His major interests are eyelid and facial Aesthetic surgery, lipostructure, eyelid and orbital surgery.

His clinic in Tunis attracts patients from all the north Africa region for diverse oculoplastic and cosmetic problems

Stefania B. Diniz

Stefania B. Diniz MD is a consultant Orbital & Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon in Brasilia, Brazil. Dr. Diniz completed her first fellowship at the University of Sao Paulo under Prof. Antonio Augusto V. Cruz. She then went to an advanced global fellowship in Orbital and Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery under Robert Goldberg, MD, and Daniel Rootman, MD, at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA in Los Angeles. She is a rising star in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery in Brazil, currently at Instituto Hospital de Base do Distrito Federal and CBV Hospital de Olhos.

Andrew Harrison

Dr. Harrison graduated summa cum laude from University of Missouri Medical School.  He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota. He went on to complete fellowships in neuro-ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota and oculoplastic surgery at Oregon Health Sciences University.  Dr. Harrison is a tenured Professor of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology at the University of Minnesota where he also serves as the Vice Chair for Surgical Services and Director of Oculoplastic Surgery.  He has published over 100 scientific papers and book chapters.  He has consistently received the Best Doctors in America Award and been selected as one of America’s Top Ophthalmologists since 2005.

Pelin Kaynak

After several years of private practice in Istanbul, Dr.Kaynak had founded the Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Division of Istanbul Beyoğlu Eye Research and Training Hospital in 2002, and worked as  director of the department until 2017 where she had trained many residents and national and international fellows, following the year she had her first and continuing orbitofacial plastic surgery training in UCLA, JSEI, Orbitofacial Plastic Surgery Dept. in 1996 and 1997.

Dr. Kaynak practices as clinical prof. of ophthalmology at the Istanbul Yeni Yuzyıl Univ. Med School and mainly in her private office. Her practice  and research is mostly focused on aesthetic and functional surgery approaches of the periocular area focused on  minimally invasive surgery and  non surgical periocular rejuvenation. She, lectures at the internatonal and national meetings, courses in this field.

Pelin Kaynak has executed as  board member of TSOPRS ( Oculofacial surgery branch of Turkish ophthalmological Assc. (TOA)), a full member of TOA, TCOD,  TSOPRS, ESOPRS and  IDDES and an international associate member of ASOPRS.

She has published articles, wrote over 30 book chapters, co-edited textbooks related to ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Harry Marshak

Dr. Harry Marshak earned his M.D. degree from Cornell University Medical College. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. He subsequently completed a 2 year fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Doheny Eye Institute at the University of Southern California. He then completed a 2 year cosmetic surgery fellowship under the auspices of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Marshak is a fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and a diplomat of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Southern California. Dr. Marshak has published numerous articles in the fields of oculoplastic surgery and facial cosmetic surgery. He is in private practice in Palm Desert, CA.

Milind Naik

Dr Milind Naik acquired his post-graduate training in Ophthalmology at the Christian Medical College, Vellore, India, He further completed his Ophthalmic and Facial plastic surgery fellowship at the prestigious University of California, Los Angeles in the year 2006-07. His areas of interest include Aesthetic and Facial Plastic Surgery, Thyroid Eye Disease, and Minimally Invasive Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery.

He has been awarded the Senior Achievement Award by the American Academy of Ophthalmology in the year 2015 and is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). He served as the Vice President of the Asia Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (APSOPRS) in the year 2010-12.

Dr Naik has over 200 peer-reviewed publications in International journals, and lectures extensively across the globe in the field of ophthalmic plastic surgery, and facial aesthetics. Dr Naik currently heads the Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery Services at LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India. He also serves as Associate Professor, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, University of Rochester, New York, USA. He was recently elected as the Web Editor of AOCMF, Asia Pacific.

His extra-curricular interests include painting, 3D videography, and paperfolding. His better half, Vibhavari Naik is an Anaesthesiologist, and they have a 18 year old daughter, Jaee who is currently pursuing Medicine at St John’s medical college, Bangalore, India.

Sean Paul

Dr. Paul is a board certified surgeon of the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO), and a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). Dr Paul specializes in eyelid and facial plastic (cosmetic and reconstructive) surgery. He uses a blended approach of non-surgical treatments and surgery, including minimal incision techniques, to provide the best patient care. Dr. Paul completed his ASOPRS fellowship at the prestigious Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and pursued further elective training in cosmetic surgery of the eyelids and face. Dr. Paul has authored numerous scientific articles and been invited to speak at many national and international meetings. He feels privileged to return to Australia to share ideas with colleagues.  His practice is based in Austin, Texas serving central and south Texas.

Dr. Julian D. Perry performs over one-thousand surgeries per year at the Cole Eye Institute, Cleveland Clinic Foundation. He has published over 100 papers, three-dozen book chapters and a textbook. He sits on the Editorial Boards of AJO, OPRS and OSN. He directs an ASOPRS fellowship and precepts plastic surgery and dermatology residents. He serves ASOPRS as Secretary of Meetings; on the AAO Program Committee and BSCS Review Committee; and on the U.S. FDA Ophthalmic Devices Panel. Dr. Perry has received the ASOPRS Marvin Quickert Thesis Award and Lester Jones Surgical Anatomy Award, and the AAO Senior Achievement Award.

Paul Phelps, MD FACS is the founder and CEO of Chicago Oculofacial Plastic Surgery. He is board certified in ophthalmology and an active member of ASOPRS. Dr. Phelps serves on faculty at Cook County Health, a high-volume trauma center located on Chicago’s West Side. He is an adjunct preceptor for a prestigious cosmetic Facial Plastic Surgery fellowship. He is also affiliated with Northwestern and operates primarily out of his office-based surgery center in Lincoln Park. In his free time, he enjoys exploring the excellent restaurants and sights in the Chicago land area with his wife and two sons.

Simon Woodruff

Simon Woodruff is a Consultant Oculoplastic & Reconstructive surgeon at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust in Cambridge, UK. He was previously clinical director and prior to that director of surgical training in Cambridge. He runs and participates in multiple surgical dissection and training courses in the UK.

He graduated from St. Marys Hospital Medical School, Imperial College, London in 1991. He then trained in general medicine, general surgery and emergency medicine before starting specialization in Ophthalmic & Oculoplastic surgery in 1994. Most of his training was in London teaching hospitals and included two years subspecialty training as a fellow in Oculoplastic, Lacrimal and Orbital surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital under the supervision and mentorship of Richard Collin and Geoff Rose.

He specialises in all aspects of Oculoplastic and eyelid surgery ranging from complex reconstruction to blepharoplasty and aesthetics. He has a keen interest in endoscopic lacrimal surgery.

A passionate traveller and educator, he has travelled multiple times to Vietnam and China to teach Oculoplastic Surgery. Many moons ago he worked as a doctor in rural Afghanistan in a village clinic and was a roaming correspondent for BBC World Service Radio in Afghanistan. He is an avid ski mountaineer and long-distance cycle tourer.

André Borba

Dr. André Borba is an Ophthalmologist with a subspecialty practice in Oculoplastic, Orbital and Lacrimal Surgery. Dr Borba graduated in Medicine at UNESP in 1994 and he did his Residency at University of São Paulo in São Paulo, Brazil from 1995 to 1997. Fellowship training in Oculoplastic Surgery was then undertaken the Jules Stein Eye Institute, University of California, Los Angeles, USA, from 1998 to 1999. Dr. André Borba specialized in blepharoplasty and facial rejuvenation and he has written and published a list of medical literature including research papers, book chapters and 3 books: “Facial Rejuvenation Techniques with Botulinum Toxin and MD Codes, “Oculoplastics and Ocular Oncology” and “Designing a new look - Complete medical guide on blepharoplasty”. Dr. Borba is a regular invited speaker at medical conferences around the world and full member of PAAO, ASOPRS and ESOPRS,in which he will be the future host president of the Congress in Cascais, Portugal in 2026.

Daniel Ezra

Daniel Ezra is currently a consultant at the Adnexal Department at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London and Associate Professor at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology. He is also the Medical Director of Neo Healthcare, a large interdisciplinary head and neck clinic in the Harley Street Area of Central London. Daniel specialises in all aspects of cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery and lacrimal disease. He is also the research lead and for Oculoplastic Surgery at Moorfields Eye Hospital.

Daniel graduated from Cambridge and London Universities with degrees in Medicine and the History and Philosophy of Science, winning several prizes and awards. He undertook higher surgical training at Moorfields Eye Hospital with further training in in functional and aesthetic surgery as a Fellow at Moorfields Eye Hospital and as an Interface Fellow in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery. Mr. Ezra's research into eyelid laxity was awarded the Sir Lionel Whitby Medal and Prize by the University of Cambridge for a thesis of ‘exceptional merit’. This research was also awarded the Syme Medal by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. His subsequent research as an NIHR Clinical Lecturer was awarded further prizes including the ESOPRS award, BOPSS award and British Thyroid Association prize. He is an internationally recognised authority on oculoplastic surgery and has a particular interest in primary and revision blepharoplasty surgery, periocular dystonias and lacrimal surgery.

Paul Rosser

Paul was schooled at Auckland Grammar before studying medicine at Auckland University. He trained in Ophthalmology in Auckland and travelled to the UK to complete fellowships in eyelid, lacrimal and orbital surgery in the early 1990’s at Moorfields Hospital, London. He returned to Auckland to set up an oculoplastic service in the public service and from 2000 has run a yearly oculoplastic fellowship program for overseas doctors wanting to train in the sub-specialty.

Paul is a founding member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand Society of Oculoplastic Surgeons, is a past-president of the society and also previously was the section editor of the orbito-plastics section of the journal Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology. He was also made the first honorary member of the New Zealand Society of Cosmetic Medicine.

Paul regularly gives lectures at New Zealand and overseas conferences and has authored over 20 peer-reviewed papers on eyelid or lacrimal topics in Ophthalmic journals. He has been the invited guest speaker at major international meetings, the Oculoplastics Association of India conference in Mumbai (2010) and at the British Oculoplastic Surgery Society meeting in Liverpool (2014).
