Angelo Tsirbas Graduating at the top of his medical school with honours, Dr. Tsirbas trained in general surgery before completing ophthalmic training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. He was awarded a Fullbright Scholarship to Columbia University in New York City, and undertook further training at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, as well as the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. In 2005, he was appointed to the faculty of the Orbital and Oculofacial Surgical Department at the Jules Stein Eye Institute in Los Angeles. Dr. Angelo Tsirbas has written and published an extensive list of medical literature including over 50 research papers and book chapters, and he is a regular invited speaker at medical conferences around the world. Dr Taylor is an Honorary Associate at the Sydney Eye Hospital, a consultant at the Skin & Cancer Foundation and a VMO at Westmead Hospital. He holds the position of Senior Lecturer at University of Sydney and the Sydney Adventist Hospital Clinical School.

Paul Rosser Dr Paul Rosser is an oculoplastic surgeon working at Auckland Eye in Auckland, NZ and with a public hospital appointment at Greenlane Hospital. He underwent fellowship training in oculoplastics at Moorfields Eye Hospital from 1989-1991 and for the past 25 years has had a sub-specialty practice mainly involving eyelid surgery. Since 2000 he has run an oculoplastic fellowship program in Auckland for overseas ophthalmologists to train in oculoplastic surgery. Dr Rosser has been the orbital/plastics section editor for Clinical and Experimental Ophthalmology and is a past president of the Australia and New Zealand Oculoplastic Society.

George Charonis Dr. George Charonis was born in Syracuse, NY and was raised in Athens, Greece. He graduated from the National University of Athens (MD) and did his postgraduate studies in the US (Internship in General Surgery in Baltimore, MD, Residency in Ophthalmology in Louisville, KY, Fellowship in Orbitofacial Surgery at the Jules Stein Eye Institute in UCLA). He is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He practices in Athens where he has founded the Athens Vision Eye Institute and serves as President of the Board. He is past President of the Hellenic Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the organizer of the last European meeting of the European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He has participated in numerous National and International meetings as an invited speaker and instructor. His professional interests include aesthetic rejuvenation of the periorbital area, surgical rehabilitation for thyroid orbitopathy and lacrimal surgery.

Cathy Hwang Dr. Catherine Hwang is an Orbital & Oculofacial plastic surgeon at the Cole Eye Institute at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Hwang completed her training at the University of Pennsylvania as well as the University of California, Los Angeles. She practiced in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills and was an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCLA from 201-2016. She is an active member of the American Society of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American Academy of Ophthalomology, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Hwang has travelled nationally and internationally lecturing on botulinum toxin, fillers, filler complications and eyelid surgery. She is also an active researcher investigating functional and cosmetic eyelid and orbital disorders.

He directs an ASOPRS fellowship and precepts plastic surgery and dermatology residents. He serves ASOPRS as Secretary of Meetings; on the AAO Program Committee and BSCS Review Committee; and on the U.S. FDA Ophthalmic Devices Panel. Dr. Perry has received the ASOPRS Marvin Quickert Thesis Award and Lester Jones Surgical Anatomy Award, and the AAO Senior Achievement Award.

He is a member of ESOPRS, the AAO and is an inter-specialty member of the BAAPS. He has over 100 publications in scientific journals. Sean Paul Dr. Sean Paul is a board certified surgeon by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS). Dr. Paul specializes in eyelid and facial plastic cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He uses a blended approach of non-surgical treatments and surgery, including minimal incision techniques, to provide the best patient care. Dr. Paul has authored numerous scientific articles and been invited to speak at many national and international meetings. He feels privileged to return to Australia to share ideas with colleagues. His practice is based in Austin, Texas serving central and south Texas.

Francesco Bernardini Francesco Pietro Bernardini completed his two-year fellowship training in Cincinnati (1998-2000). Dr Bernardini established his Private Practice “Oculoplastica Bernardini” based in Genova with satellite in Roma, Milano and Torino. He has published more than 50 scientific papers and is part of the editorial board of OPRS. Dr Bernardini is also international member of the ASOPRS and full member of the ESOPRS and member of the Orbital Society. Dr Bernardini has been an international invited speaker at many meetings and has organized many international meetings himself, including the 2011 ESOPRS Lake of Como meeting on behalf of the European Society of Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery Society.

Harry Marshak Dr. Harry Marshak earned his M.D. degree from Cornell University Medical College. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. He subsequently completed a 2 year fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Doheny Eye Institute at the University of Southern California. He then completed a 2 year cosmetic surgery fellowship under the auspices of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Marshak is a fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and a diplomat of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery. Dr. Marshak has published numerous articles in the fields of oculoplastic surgery and facial cosmetic surgery. He is in private practice in Palm Desert, CA.

Roman Shinder Roman Shinder, MD FACS, was born in the Ukraine, and grew up in New York City. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University, and Cum Laude and Alpha Omega Alpha from SUNY Upstate Medical University. Dr Shinder completed ophthalmology residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He then completed a 2-year ophthalmic plastic & reconstructive surgery fellowship at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX and Texas Oculoplastic Consultants in Austin, TX. Since 2010 Dr Shinder has been full time faculty at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, and currently is Associate Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology and director of oculoplastics at SUNY Downstate. He is board certified by the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is an invited peer reviewer of manuscripts for Ophthalmology, JAMA Ophthalmology, American Journal of Ophthalmology, British Journal of Ophthalmology, Survey of Ophthalmology, Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Journal of American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Leukemia and Lymphoma, Asia-Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology, Journal of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, Expert Review of Ophthalmology, International Journal of Ophthalmology, Orbit, Digital Journal of Ophthalmology of Harvard University, and International Journal of Molecular Sciences. Dr. Shinder has published 172 abstracts and peer reviewed manuscripts, with several more currently in press, as well as 9 textbook chapters, with 5 more that are in press. Dr Shinder has given several invited lectures throughout the world. Dr Shinder is an invited charter member of the North American Society of Academic Orbital Surgeons. Dr Shinder’s wife is a pediatrician in private practice in Long Island. The Shinders have a 8-year-old daughter, and 6- and 2-year-old sons. In his spare time, Dr Shinder enjoys exercising, playing tennis, and spending time with his kids.

Alan Lessner Dr. Lessner is an Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon in Gainesville, Florida. He graduated from Albany Medical College and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society. He then trained in ophthalmology at the University of Florida and subsequently completed prestigious fellowships in Oculofacial Plastic Surgery at the UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute , in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills California, and Orbital Surgery at The University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. After completing his fellowships, he returned to Gainesville, Florida and became director of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Florida for over 25 years while maintaining a private practice. Presently, his private practice concentrates on cosmetic eyelid, eyebrow, facial plastic surgery, and injectables. He is Board Certified and is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Inc.

Jeffrey Schiller Dr. Jeffrey Schiller attended Yale University and the Rutgers-NJ Medical School where he trained in ophthalmology. His oculoplastic training was with Dr.’s Stephen Bosniak in New York City and Serge Morax in Paris, France. Dr. Schiller spent a year as a staff ophthalmologist with Orbis International, a teaching eye hospital based on a DC-10 aircraft in West Africa and Asia. Since 1990 he has been in private practice in oculofacial plastic surgery in New York and New Jersey. Dr. Schiller has lectured and taught on five continents and speaks six languages..

Diana Rubel Dr Diana Rubel is a consultant dermatologist in private practice at Woden Dermatology, Canberra, and a visiting medical officer and Senior Lecturer at The Australian National University (ANU) and The Canberra Hospital. She completed her undergraduate medical degree (1988) and postgraduate Diploma in Paediatrics (1992) at University of NSW, her Masters of Medicine (specialising in cutaneous immunology) at Sydney University (1995) and Australasian College of Dermatologists’ fellowship in 1998. Her subspecialty interests include acne, psoriasis and atopic dermatitis, skin cancer management, and clinical research, and is an affiliate with Probity Medical Research.

Simon Taylor Dr Simon Taylor is an Ophthalmologist with a subspecialty practice in Oculoplastic, Orbital and Lacrimal Surgery. Dr Taylor graduated in Medicine with First Class Honours from the University of Sydney in 1989. Specialist Ophthalmology training was undertaken at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, Melbourne, and then as the Senior Professorial Registrar at the Sydney Eye Hospital. His subspecialty training in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery, Orbital and Lacrimal Surgery was then undertaken in Australia, USA and the UK. He was the Honorary Oculoplastic Fellow at the Sydney Eye Hospital in 1999. Fellowship training in Oculoplastic Surgery was then undertaken at the University of Michigan, the University of Utah and Royal Manchester Eye Hospital, Manchester, UK. Dr Taylor is an Honorary Associate at the Sydney Eye Hospital, a consultant at the Skin & Cancer Foundation and a VMO at Westmead Hospital. He holds the position of Senior Lecturer at University of Sydney and the Sydney Adventist Hospital Clinical School.

Angelo Tsirbas Graduating at the top of his medical school with honours, Dr. Tsirbas trained in general surgery before completing ophthalmic training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. He was awarded a Fullbright Scholarship to Columbia University in New York City, and undertook further training at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, as well as the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. In 2005, he was appointed to the faculty of the Orbital and Oculofacial Surgical Department at the Jules Stein Eye Institute in Los Angeles. Dr. Angelo Tsirbas has written and published an extensive list of medical literature including over 50 research papers and book chapters, and he is a regular invited speaker at medical conferences around the world. Dr. Tsirbas is a member of RANZCO, ASOPRS, AAFPS, ESOPRS and specializes in blepharoplasty and facial rejuvenation.

Mark Ashton Professor Ashton is Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of Melbourne and past Head of Plastic Surgery at The Royal Melbourne Hospital. He is on the Executive Council of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons and is an Invited Editor for The Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal in America. Mark is Director of the Taylor Research Lab within the Anatomy Department of the University of Melbourne and is Chair of the Surgical Committee for Interplast, a not for profit charity providing Plastic Surgery to the Asia Pacific region. Professor Ashton has published 6 book chapters and over 200 articles on Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in peer reviewed national and international journals Mark specializes in cosmetic surgery (such as breast augmentation), along with reconstructive breast surgery, (such as surgery following cancer surgery and breast reduction) and facial aesthetic surgery. In May 2017 Professor Ashton was elected President of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons, the peak body representing Specialist Plastic Surgeons in Australia.

He performs Hair Transplant Surgery, as well as facial cosmetic surgery exclusively eyelid surgery, Septo-Rhinoplasty and Face Lifts. He has been a fellow of Korean College of Cosmetic Surgery and former visiting professor (Honorary) at Hair Transplant Clinic in Kyung Book National University Hospital in South Korea. He has been practicing for 16 years in cosmetic surgery in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. His special interests are Ptosis Correction with Asian Double fold Surgery and Septo-Rhinoplasty with lengthening of Asian short Nose. George Marcells Dr Marcells is an ENT, Facial Plastic Surgeon based in Edgecliff in Sydney. He is the President of the AAFPS (Australasian Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery). He is Co-Director of the Sydney Rhinology Fellowship which accepts Fellows for advanced rhinology training through the American Match program. Dr Marcells is actively involved in Rhinology research and is Supervising an Honours Student Project on the External Nasal Valve.

Terence Poon Dr Poon is a Dermatologist and Laser Specialist and the medical director of Neutral Bay Laser & Dermatology Clinic and principal of Central Sydney Dermatology. Dr Poon graduated in Medicine with Honours from the University of Sydney in 1996 and continued with his specialist training at Westmead Hospital, The New Chidlren’s Hospital Westmead, The Skin and Cancer Foundation Australia (Westmead and Darlinghurst),St Vincents Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Prior to completing his dermatology training, Dr Poon undertook research at Royal Prince Alfred and the University of Sydney investigating the effectiveness of sunscreens in the prevention of skin cancer. This research resulted in both the award of a doctorate from the University of Sydney as well as the Cure Cancer Australia Young Researcher of the Year award. Whilst undertaking his specialty training, Dr Poon developed a strong interest in laser dermatology when seeing the dramatic improvement achieved by laser surgery on disfiguring birthmarks while working at Westmead Children’s Hospital. This resulted in his undertaking extensive international training and completing a sub-specialty fellowship in cosmetic and laser dermatology.
